InterFaith Homeless Shelter

St. John's is an active participant in the Interfaith Homeless Shelter. Our volunteers give their time and talents in providing hot dinners to the Shelter's clients. St. John's  will serve at the Shelter in February, 2017.

Serving the Homeless with Compassion and Respect

Our mission: Working with volunteers and community groups, we provide short-term survival services, as well as active service experiences for volunteers, and additional long-term services in collaboration with the City of Santa Fe and other local service provider partners.

Over 2,000 volunteers from 43 faith communities and community groups join in providing overnight shelter and food from late October through early May. We also provide a hot lunch, showers, and clothing year-round on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and we work with other agencies to provide additional services for the homeless throughout the year at “Pete’s Place.”
