music: fine arts & creative worship

MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD!

MUSIC IS ESSENTAIL AT ST. JOHN’S

We seek a varied music experience that demonstrates excellence, reverence, and the heart of God in worship.  In line with the renewed purpose of St. John's (to be a spiritual community of service), we strive to use music as a means to reach out and to unify our community, and ultimately our world.  Please join us in this adventure!  For more information, please contact Russ Fletcher, Coordinator of Music Ministries, at Russ@sjumcsantafe.org or 505-982-5397.

Live in Concert! The Senior High Revelation Choir, June 21, 7:30 PM, free admission, and all are welcome. This 80-member choir is made up of high school youth from Custer Road UMC, Plano, TX. The concert will be a reflection on the image of water found in the Bible. A variety of music styles will range from Beethoven to Rap, and include a brief skit, Scripture readings, and choreography (click this link for a performance from the choir’s 2017 tour: https://vimeo.com/223066101). Also, please join us for a potluck dinner with the choir, and St. John’s will provide the main entree: gluten-free green chile, cheese enchilada casserole, chicken and veggie!  Please let us know you’re coming by sign up in the Narthex (sanctuary foyer) and indicate what side-dish or dessert you plan to bring. Mark your calendars… you will not want to miss this!
